Abby and Her Family

Abby is a Black Lab/ German Shepherd mix. She was adopted at 12 weeks from a doggy foster home where she had been rescued from a home that had her mother, her brothers and sisters and 21 chihuahuas! Abby came to our loving home and has been spoiled ever since!

How Abby's Care Line Came to Be

Abby and her cat sister, Sneakers are deeply loved and cared for in our home. Over the years we have found that we have had to change the way we live and clean when there are pet paws touching day to day surfaces. No more chemicals! 

​

It started with the basic vinegar and water cleaner and as we became more aware of how many chemicals are in EVERYTHING we started to make adjustments. Last winter, with Abby fully grown, we were finding it difficult to have her wear her mittens. We were very concerned of the health risks that Abby would be exposed to with the chemical salt on the sidewalks in our area. After doing some research we found that beeswax creates a barrier between the ground and the paws. One thing led to another and Abby's Paw Balm was created. It's not just for winter, with the oils added to the beeswax, it is a great moisturizer and healer for our pup's paw pads, as well as protects her feet in the summer against the hot sidewalk.

Friends and other "doggy parents" at Doggy Daycare often comment on the smoothness of Abby's paw pads and Abby's Care Line became active.
